I’m such a sap. It takes very little for me to turn on the waterworks, and it was nip and tuck at the end. But this is so charming I had to share it. This is up for an Oscar for animated short, and deservedly so. “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore” is the product of Moonbot Studios. Take 15 minutes and be transported.

Wow! I just watched this at the coffee shop where I do most of my writing. As silly as it may sound, I had to try really hard not to shed a tear or two. A couple of folks reading a paper looked in my direction. I smiled at them and resumed watching.
The imagery was fantastic, and the story was very poignant. Thank you, D.D. for sharing! 🙂

That was just the most enchanting film I’ve ever seen. I noticed it is a product of the state of Louisiana, too. I would have guessed the UK, and I’m glad I was wrong. Kudos to Moonbot Studios!

Isn’t it a shame how small an audience little gems like this will have? Unless you’re in the movie business, I would guess most of us will never see the majority of little shorts like this. These should be shown in theaters before the main feature, rather than ads. I’m glad everyone seems to be enjoying it as much as I did.
