Pretty video of locations around the Pacific Northwest, with some fantastic shots of Crater Lake and Mount St. Helens. The opening shot is moonrise on Mt. Hood, which is just east of Portland. I recommend viewing in full screen.
We desperately need a channel that features these kinds of videos, the way Norway features hours-long videos of ships’ voyages.
I love time lapse videos. People spends hours camping out late in the night to the morning to share such beautiful footage with us.

Hi Lora,
I loved how so many of the views were of the stars at night. I haven’t been out with my telescope in ages so it’s nice to see some night shots.

That was amazing. Thank you D.D. It was worth the wait to get to a better computer than my one at work!
Isn’t it amazing when you see those pictures of the milky way and you realize that all that was here before there was ever a human eye to appreciate it.
What a microscopic detail we are in the blueprint of the universe. And how arrogant we can be about it sometimes.
Positively beautiful.

Glad you enjoyed it π Yes, it’s awe-inspiring, to say the least. Like they said in “Contact”, “If it IS just us, seems like an awful waste of space.” With all those stars and planets, there’s got to be someone else out there somewhere.
