This is the Four of Swords from the Enchanted Tarot by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber.
The Four of Swords indicates a time of rest and regrouping after a bit of a rough patch. Like the Buddha, it’s a time to withdraw a bit, meditate on what’s been going on, try to heal after a hurt.
Even if you don’t meditate in the sense of sitting in a full lotus position, now might be a good time to just sit quietly, avoid excess stress (like a party you don’t really want to go to because it’ll be the same drunk obnoxious people who always show up). If you’ve been sick, take it easy on yourself, don’t keep pushing. Get some balance back in your life. Rest, reflect, now is not the time to fight a pitched battle.
I like the calm, serene blues in this card, the swords forming a sort of temple around the Buddha. It has very ethereal, restful feel to it. Like floating on a cloud, or sitting in our own celestial temple.
So, a quote from the Buddha seems appropriate here.
You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.
I think I’ll carve out some extra writing time this week for myself.
Be good to yourselves and enjoy your week, my friends.
This card is perfect for me since I’m supposed to be handling stress better. Yes, to sit quietly sounds like a good idea. It’s such a small action to take but feels huge to actually do it.

My brain has been in overdrive the last few weeks, so much so that I can hardly sleep even with OTC sleep aids. I need to spend some time meditating, quiet the chaos. Hope you can find some peace and quiet.

For me, I need to step on that bad boy, lol. I am doing pretty good. I am a bit busy with classes and groups, but enjoying it. I miss blogging sometime. I might not comment much but I am always reading when I get the time. Always thinking of you and Tasha. I truly miss you both!
