Ok. I pulled this a few weeks ago in another reading I did for myself over at my Tarot blog. And well, it appears the wait’s not over yet. The Wands are associated with fire, and in the Two we are sort of in a holding pattern. The Wands show some green leaves, so although they’re not in the ground, they still have energy and growth. A wealthy merchant has sent her fleetest ships out on a trade mission (maybe), looking to expand and open up new opportunities. So she stands on the balcony, waiting for the ships to return (when does my ship come in?). I’m sending mine out again, ’cause the others didn’t find the trade routes I was hoping for. There’s always another place to try.
So, let this be a week of launching new projects, and looking toward the future with optimism. Have a great week, everyone!
Just look at the expression on her face, too. She is in no doubt whatsoever that those ships are coming back. A good week ahead, indeed!

Good observation! Yes, she does look serene and confident, doesn’t she? Ah, if only I could share that confidence.

She reminds me of the French Lt’s Woman. Optimism, I like that word and will carry it like a shield when doubt shows its pesky head. Love your tarot cards Dame. They speak from the page.

I can’t say I feel confident but against all odds will remain optimistic. Might as well, right? 😉

Might as well remain optimistic – it doesn’t cost any extra. In tarot mythology, fire is a metaphor for – passion? purification? something that, once you commit to it, is never undone?

The element of fire in the various schools of thought of magical practice signifies creativity, energy, passion. Growth, expansion. Think of the feeling you get when you hit on a new idea and throw all your energy into making it happen. That’s fire. It can also consume, if unchecked, like a volcano exploding and destroying everything in the vicinity.

Ah, that’s where my flaky optimism comes in. The burning volcano changes everything. A bunch of stuff is destroyed, but like the Death card, it leaves a blank surface for something new. I think there is def something interesting lurking just around the corner.

Two of wands in my readings indicate a crossroads coming up. Opportunities and options are there, and a decision will have to be made. I am liking this blog!
