Coffin Hop Giveaway Winner

I want to thank everyone who came by during the Coffin Hop Blog Tour and read my story and left a comment. It was a fun, if frantic, week! I hope you were all able to get out to some of the other blogs and enjoy their offerings and giveaways as well. My fellow Coffin Hop participants are a warm, generous, friendly bunch, no matter how gory or horrific their fiction may be! And special thanks to our Grand Master, Axel Howerton, for coordinating and running this little undertaking each year since 2011.

And finally, congratulations to my contest winner,

Julia P!

You have 24 hours from the time of this posting to respond to this or the email I’ll be sending to claim your prize: either a free copy of my ebook, “Revenants Abroad” in  your choice of formats, or a 10-card Celtic Cross Tarot reading which will include a photo of the cards in addition to the full write-up. If you do not respond in 24 hours a new winner will be chosen.

Wishing everyone good holidays ahead!

My First Giveaway!

Calling all horror fans!

I am very excited to be able to do this, to share with you a book that I read and loved.

A little background: Back in the early part of this year, I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of the newest novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist, the author of “Let the Right One In” (which was made into a movie in Sweden, and then this year remade in the U.S. as “Let Me In”. It was a riveting story of a friendship between a young vampire and a marginalized Swedish boy).

It was fascinating, and horrific, and so of course I had to read Lindqvist’s new novel. As good as “Let the Right One In” is, he really hits his stride with “Harbor.” On a day trip to a lighthouse, across the ice-bound snowy harbor, a small girl vanishes without a trace. The book follows the girl’s father, and his neighbors on the island, with weird twists and horrific encounters with people who should not be. There’s an insidious, creeping evil here on this otherwise lovely island off the coast of Sweden.

Sadly, the giveaway is restricted to the U.S. and Canada. St. Martin’s Press is generously providing the book, and will send it from their offices in New York. Sorry folks, I know a lot of you are in other countries. I’ll hopefully be able to do something more international another time. I get to pull the winner and then provide their name and address to St. Martin’s.

So, if you live in the U.S. or Canada and would like to get a copy of this book, leave a comment below and I will pick a winner on October 11, the date of the book’s U.S. release.

Good luck!
